My name is Adam Paris, and for more than three decades I've worked in healthcare as a physical therapist, mentor, and leader. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of helping countless new clinicians make the transition from student to practicing professional.
I've learned that most new graduates don't struggle because they lack knowledge. They struggle because they're stepping into systems they were never taught to navigate.
I wrote From Classroom to Caseload because I wanted to be the mentor I wish every new clinician had during those first challenging months. The book is built from real-world experience, practical lessons, and the conversations I've had with students and new graduates who simply wanted someone to help connect what they learned in school with what happens inside an actual clinic.
My goal isn't just to help you survive your first year—it's to help you build the confidence, habits, and perspective that will serve you throughout your entire career.
